I have sent the Galahs and Cockatoos to Yuri for testing...

Two versions of each, standing and flying
The flying ones are animated to fly in a 10m circle, flapping wings. These can be a little difficult to position in the editor, but look good when flying in and around trees.

The other news is that I have finally managed to get the Kangaroo hazard animation working correctly, so they can now be placed on the line and bound off into the distance when you blow the horn (in activities only)
I'm about to send this to Yuri now ...

Hi Paul, thanks a lot for the 'roos and emus, and for the upcoming birds.
When you say "only in activities" for the 'hazard' roos, does that mean any activity, or do I have to make my own, (which I can't as yet !)

As for other stuff, apart from already suggested, must have a Merino ram, (don't worry about any ewes, he'll be able to handle the ones already made !), and some Herefords, of course.
Those rabbits you mention, from the UK, are not feral-looking enough to be Australian !
As for structures...gotta have a Community Hall, where else are we going to hold our dances and bingo? and something every town has...a returned serviceman, (person?) monument with a soldier on top !!

Live your work

Hi Grandpa,

Hazards can only appear in Activities, they do not appear in 'Explore the Route', however Yuri has packaged them in a nice installer on his site and it comes with full instructions which even us old blokes can understand.

How about a crow or a flock of crows, which can be used for almost any country!.. some flying and in tree tops or standing on ground, and possibly some magpies attacking people. Smile

Just a quick check to see if anyone else is having problems with the Kangaroo hazard?
The readme mentions selecting "animate" but I don't think this is necessary and can cause a crash.

-----------------------------------------

Crows would be an excellent idea! - I did have room left on the cockatoo texture file for one more bird, shouldn't be difficult to add.

Kangaroo Hazards - a small note:

Early downloaders may have problems as the readme does not mention that the roo.haz file must be in the root folder of the route - Yuri corrected this a couple of days ago.

Crows have now been modelled, pending Yuri's testing, and should be with the others.

I also checked on the uktrainsim site for other animals and you can get most sheep, sheep dogs (collies) and several birds of prey that would also double for Oz, so I think I'll stop for the moment.[/b]
