I've noticed that many services have been delayed and cancelled on the Glen Waverley and Alamien lines, possible due to bad weather, or a fallen treee perhaps?
Alamein
leaving the city from Riversdale
Due to overhead power problems, train services between Camberwell and Alamein have been replaced by buses until further notice.
Frankston
02:00pm leaving the city from Flinders Street
has been cancelled

Flights in and out of Melbourne Airport are expected to be delayed as winds approach 50 knots in the area.
An airport spokesman has asked passengers and their families to be patient and check the airport website for changes to flight timetables.
"Key advice we are giving to passengers is to allow a bit of time to get to the airport and to please take care or the Tullamarine Freeway," he said.
Firefighters in Victoria’s west are still battling to contain a blaze near Terang after strong winds toppled a power line along the Princes Highway around 11am this morning.
Windy conditions may also have been a factor after a scaffolding collapse killed a building site worker in Melbourne's south-east.
The bureau expects storm force winds involving a cold change and south-westerly winds to replace current warm northerly winds across Victoria.
"We have squally and dusty wind gusts of 120 km/h on the way,'' Mr Blake said.
The winds were expected to reach Melbourne by 5pm, if not earlier, he said.
"We have a road weather alert and farmer and grazier warning,'' Mr Blake said.
"People on the roads should watch out for trees, as in branches blowing off, let alone trees falling.
"Indoors is the place to be, people should stick to indoor activities today.''
In Tasmania, the Bureau of Meteorology have issued a hurricane warning for southwestern coastal waters and a severe weather warning for the entire state.
Widespread gusts from 90 to 110 km/h are expected across Victoria, with localised gusts to 130 km/h over south-western and central parts of Victoria by late morning and in Gippsland by mid-afternoon.
Maximum gusts around 150 km/h are likely over alpine regions.
The weather bureau has also warned of extreme fire danger in most districts due to the high winds.
The State Emergency Service (SES) advises residents to park their car under cover away from trees and, if driving, to beware of debris across roadways.
Householders are advised to ensure loose items such as outdoor furniture and children's play equipment are secured or put away.
"We're just asking people to be mindful that they need to secure loose items that are around the house,'' an SES spokesman told 3AW radio.
Sailors and fishermen have been warned to return to shore and not to venture out until the strong weather has passed, with storm force wind warnings for the Western Port and Port Phillip Bays and all coastal waters.
Victoria's water police have had reports of boats breaking loose from their moorings around Port Phillip Bay.
A water police spokeswoman said recreational boating was not recommended on the bay today, with winds of about 45 knots reported.
"We advise people to inspect their boat's moorings and make sure they are secure, because winds are going to pick up later this afternoon," she said.
Life Saving Victoria has urged people playing or fishing by the water to take care, with high seas and swells expected.
“A big wave can come in and sweep people away if they are not careful,” a LSV spokesman said.
“If you’re out in the surf in a boat you could definitely expect some huge swells.
“We’re asking people to take care and take it easy by the water.”

If the Bolte closes, does that mean City link closes?
Alamein and Glen Waverley line services hit hard, with 15 services to and from the city being canceled on the Glen Waverley line, with no reports of bus replacements.

The down-local to Caulfield is closed. Around 14:30, I saw a Siemens coming up the down-local back to South Yarra.
A V-locity on the up-through seemed to be running slowly according to signalling. Otherwise, the signalling was clear-normal but the tracks were empty.
I overheard also a telephone call that the Hurstbridge line is closed.

Haven't heared that one but 3 more lines have recieved cancelations:

Seems like the whole Burnley group is now out... but not sure how route 75 will get you to Box Hill!
From Metlink:
Due to a fallen tree at Camberwell station, buses are replacing train services between Camberwell station and Box Hill station.
No trains running between Camberwell station and Box Hill station, passengers are advised to seek alternative transport from Camberwell station.
Passengers are advised to catch tram Route 75.
It is not known at this stage when normal services will resume.

Metlink mentions the Hurstbridge and Alamein lines only. My impression is that they are only listing the lines for which buses are arranged. Other lines don't have buses yet.

Unsurprisingly, Connex's website is quite slow this afternoon.

Thomastown/Heidelburg
The weather in thomastown is bad, trees broken on roads, branches flying everywhere, electricity is out.
City - CBD
Winds are hammering down Collins st. The city is awash with winds picking up debris and leaves, and mini tornados gusting rubish around everywhere. This is still the clam before the storm.
An enormous metal sheet (the size of a car) came crashing down onto Little Collins Street. Believed to have missed a man. It sounded like a building falling down. Builders were very quick to move it away.
Balwyn
Phone lines out as well, and power blackouts.
Malvern
Phone lines out as well, and power blackouts.
Faifield
Station street Fairfield is closed - power lines down, no power, all shops shut, police in attendance, trees uprooted across the strip, cars under trees. Avoid all local streets if possible.
Mornington
14 yatchs have been washed up on the shore at Mornington yatch club. The finger pier has broken off and there are 2 meter waves.
Berwick/Crib Point
From Berwick to Crib Point trees and branches falling all over the place couple of spots on the Westernport highway. Major Dust storms so visibility is lowered. Certainly not able to get anywhere near the speed limit.
Connex and Metlink websites down.

All trains on the Frankston line have been cancelled.
No trains on the Glen Waverley Line!
Bridge damaged on geelong highway.
Major damage across the city area.

All frankston trains are terminating at Cheltenham.

I was able to refresh a page with Metlink. It shows buses as running on the Alamein, Hurstbridge and Ringwood lines. During peak hours, it is unlikely that any other buses are free in Melbourne. With the heavy traffic, it will be a long night for bus drivers too.
So far, I haven't heard of problems with the Northern Group.
