What are all the different types of freight trains that run in Victoria, i.e. what sort of stuff do they all carry; where from, where to, how often, etc. Some are obvious but feel free to list them anyway...

I will set up a full page on freight trains in Victoria at some stage, until then that will have to do.

Chris,

There are some rail destinations which do not appear on your list. For instance I can't find anything on the Kulwin, Panitya or Dookie lines. Is that because there are no regular services that run there? Also what train numbers apply when they do?

Thanks,

Ross

Yes, the majority of the grain trains are conditional and run on a day to day basis as train planning requires.

9121, 9123, 9125..... all run beyond Maryborough, and they final destination changes each day. Those trains and then the ups (9122, 9124, 9126...) would be the train numbers that apply.

As for Dookie, that is a local shunt, and I am not sure of the train number.
