How about some of you young people replacing the word smeg with something else, It sounds really stupid and makes you look like a fool. surely there could be a better word you could use, or are you to immature.

As Railpage is a "PG" forum, swearwords are replaced, and "smeg" is the word used in place, chosen by someone who happens to be a Red Dwarf fan. (I prefer the Farscape "Frell", or BSG "Frack", myself.)
Some people like it, some hate it, but that's the way it is.

I find it interesting that the word "Smeg" is used to replace other 'non' acceptable words
Has anyone bothered to check what Smeg actually means?
it is a slang shortened version of Smegma
So go read the definition of Smegma in a dictonary and you'll find the word is NOT PG rated!
Cheers,
Tony

Yes, we all know what it really means. Unlike 99% of other swear replacements though, you actually need to look it up to get a handle on what it means.

I find it kind of amusing that somebody started a smeg thread over something so trivial.
Dont get me wrong, I think Smeg is a poxy word too, and should be smeg off in favour of something not quite as stupid.
But having said that, was it worth starting a thread over???

I agree with you Eratik. OP accuses us of immaturity for using the word smeg yet is so mature he has to complain about it?
Harden up, it's really not an issue.
