Here is the thread that comes after every trip for the attendees to post their photos Smile. I'll post some of mine, and hopefully the other attendees will post their (better) photos in this thread too. (I assume something interesting came along after I left Razz)

The lighting was quite poor for photography, but I think there must have been some good photos taken Cool (Just not by me Razz)

Morisset

I found this station boring, but here is 42302 leading a coillery train Smile (Yes, I was too lazy to edit out the dust spots)

I don't think we saw a single V set with anything but this front... (The Token V Set)

Fassifern

I found this station much more interesting. A major station, but as we found out it's not really near all that much. Note the old Toronto line platform to the left Smile

Yummy ex-NG Clydes again on the southbound train, coming out of the coillery line.

Coming from a bad direction to get a pic, an interesting light engine movement with SCT008!

2-car K set! Something found only in Newcastle.

6-car Northern Tablelands Xploder. For some reason the Armidale half had an extra carriage.

Blackalls Park

On the old Toronto line. Everybody went here to have lunch, some of us took the time to look around the old station and take some photos as we went in two groups Smile

Cockle Creek... I mean Cardiff

After it started pouring whilst we were on the 2-car K going to Cockle Creek, we decided to go to Cardiff instead as the only shelter at Cockle was covered in water. This train was a surprise and nobody got any good shots of it Sad

Yes, I do want to kill that pole.

Adamstown

I think everybody was getting sick of these 2-car K's Laughing. I didn't take many photos here, and had to leave early before the group. The signals here are great for telling you when a train was due!

Now time for other people's photos Smile

Did you guys walk from Fassifern to Blackalls Park along the concreted walk/cycling way? or did you take the easy route of catching 'The Train' bus Laughing Love that name Wink

I'm asking because it would of taken you around 15 - 20 minutes if you walked to Blackalls station and would of taken 1 hour to Toronto (average time if you walked around and stopped at places to look at some archeological stuff hidden among those thick bushes).

Nice photos all and great to see SCT008 New and Shiny, might think how long that will last hey.

42209 gave us a much appreciated lift down to Blackalls Park and back, we went in two groups as it is hard to fit 7 people in a Holden Commodore! Cool

We also got some advice from a "local" at Fassifern as to where to go for lunch Wink

How many people noticed that the cabs of the two 423 class units on the Interail coal trains are mirror images?

The lead unit has the driving position on the right (QR position) and the second unit has the driving position on the left (NSWGR position).

Since the QR unit with the "wrong" position is leading two units with the "right" position, it can't cause much of a problem.

Wow! Those are some nice photo guys! Smile

Cheers for getting around to starting the photo thread SitWWW. I can speak for Raichase (Trent) and Xplorer_2501 (Todd) on a count we all had another early morning wake up today and headed down South, BUT that's a different story..

As for Yesterday, personally I've haven't really trekked past Wyong and I think it's safe to say that that part of the short north has some cool (location AND movement wise) places around there. I think I might head up there again just to check out the old Toronto Line.

Cheers to everyone for coming out, even to just say hallo Smile

Ahh, 42209 (Anthony) ferried us over with two trips in his beastlymobile for the short trip over to Blackalls Park for lunch for some pie. Was cool to see the sights around Fassifern, as well as some of the other stuff we saw.

We knew you would of liked that Razz

All in all, it was a really fun day. The movements we saw where out of this world! I don't think I've ever seen that much stuff on the North.

My photos should be up by tomorrow, but I hope to see everyone elses at the mean time Smile

42301 and 42302 have the driver heading forward on the left while the rest (42303-42306) being on the right.

Also 42301 nose where the air conditioner is located is different to all the others.

Nothing beats the sound of a CLP/CLF Smile

I've walked the full length before (This year) and it was a fun walking track plus I went bush bashing but it was a really hot day and by the time I got to Fassifern I was drenched.

Oh yeah, Anthony with his Commodore Razz That answers my question.

Here are a few of my pics for the day. I don't have as many photos as the other blokes due to fact that I spent more time with the video camera (the footage will be up on YouTube when I get back from work on Saturday).

Everyone has some great shots there. Certainly did better freight wise then we did in the SA Railpage Australia™ trip today, we only got 2!

How many ended up going in total by the way?

Great pictures everyone Razz

I'm a little dissapointed I didn't attend but for reasons I won't go into to much detail here with, I was feeling a tad sick and VERY tired Rolling Eyes
I look forward to seeing the rest of the gang's pictures, although knowing Trent and seeing how long it took him to get the Hunter trip photo's up...I won't hold my breath Mr. Green Laughing
