yeah very nice shots, it looks good. looks more like a "real" train with the centre car! Very Happy i'd love to see a 6- or 8-car vlocity set...

i don't much about them, but would it be possible (in terms of platform clearances, etc., never mind the huge economic obstacles!) to keep building heaps of three-car sets and replace the entire suburban fleet with vlocity's? it's a very, very hypothetical question, i only ask for the simple reason that they look so much better than all the suburban stock IMO Very Happy

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing . Anyways, I reckon this will help the regional train system but I have a question, should they make 4 car sets to ease congestion. I'll bring it up in a new post, if you want me to

Yes in Victoria. The current 2 car sets can be coupled together. Simple maths 2+2=4.

Well, seriously, it's something worth thinking about. The VLocity design couldn't be used simply because it is diesel-hydraulic rather than diesel-electric drive.

However, if we find a way to swap these two over, then it'd simply be a case of having a pantograph on top instead of fitting the diesel-part of a Diesel-Electric system. (And maybe a huge transformer underneath.)

No idea how they'd look in the Connex livery though... Spew

That's my 2 cents.

Not quite as bad as I thought...

I could probably put up with that, actually.

Maybe a little less yellow...

Hang on...

More yellow means better visibility, which means we won't be peeling bits of truck driver skull off the front of the trains! Wink

Sorry if you were eating when you read that...
