And the colour blind users will do what with that?

Has the situation improved sans the 'other' option? I thought we were down on un-punctuated TXT speak kind posts anyway? The 'report post' button is going to make more work for the Mods, that's the whole point. More moderation, faster, for a better running board. If we're abusing the feature you need to pull us up on it.

It has slightly improved. I agree that when used properly, the report module would give us more work as there are more posts worthy of our time out there - we just don't know about them.

I had originally set it out so that everything legit had its own option, the idea being that any time wasters would select "other" and we'd be able to pick it up with relative ease. But then people started reporting posts as "swearing", despite the authors post being hit by the auto word censor, or spelling mistakes reported as "postwhoring". So a lot of optionms were removed, so people would actually take the time to think if their report was legit or not. So much for that....

I also have an issue with people reporting posts about them. Fair enough, if the post says "x user is a wankarrrrr", or similar. But if the post in question says "pfffft, what a lame photo" (and this has happened, time and time again) then it makes you beg for your sanity back. Unfortunately, I knew this would happen when people started asking for it.

Lastly, I'm with TLD™ here - I personally don't see the need to group reports by categories such as "spam" or "postwhoring". If a post needs reporting, I'd report it. But my tolerance level is a lot higher than some of our other members.

Right, now I'm off to work before I get any later.

Attendance. Twisted Evil

Has the level of stupidness dropped since the report post was started? As in have some of the troublemakers slowed down or stopped?

Then how about replacing it with a priority/urgency set of boxes, such as:

HIGH (eg. Spammer is currently selling mobile phones/shoes/souls, and he's doing it in EVERY forum. WE need a mod down here ASAP)

MEDIUM (eg. There's a nasty flame war going on that has gotten personal)

LOW (eg. meaningless post)

This would still be abused of course, but given that ANY system would be abused, at least this one would reduce the load somewhat by allowing thoe marked LOW to be dealt with at a more convenient time.

Just a thought.

How is one supposed to contact a moderator to do with issues not to do with posts? I tried around a week ago to use the "lodge a support ticket" link to ask who I should contact in relation to an issue with a user who is sending me unwanted PMs and have not gotten any response. Confused

Im quite happy to fill any of the admins in with my issues in relation to that if they wish.

Its pretty simple really. I had been called a pedophile by a member of this board to other people, Im merely seeking an apology, to which point I havent recieved.

Apology = problem solved.

The support ticket system is catcus at the moment, and has been for some time. If you need to contact a Mod, choose your favourite and send them a friendly PM with your gripes, concerns, compliments...

Thats the thing - hard to work out which mod/admin to contact in those instances. I would like to see some sort of feedback/report form for issues not to do with forum posts.

Or as I said earlier, you could just email me a full apology, which shows that you have taken responsibility for the things you have being saying about me to other people, and your problems are suddenly over. I dont get why you want to make an issue much more complicated than it needs to be.

Just say sorry, and you will never have an issue again. Promise.

I don't get why you want to hijack this thread with yet another lovers tiff.

Take it up via PM. If one of the parties refuses to read said PMs, then maybe you should take the hint.
