Just viewed the youtube video and it was a really nice tribute to Bucko!

Getting paid for riding the train!

I thanked T-Bone for the video but many may not know that T-Bone is a long-term RailCorp mate of Lee's - Warren (crikey, his last name has gone completely from my memory! Too much red wine lately).

ADM333 (David) from the AULRO/RRNET fora PMed me the other day to say that his FIL, Brian, who is a champion orchid breeder DUNO Home ) wanted to name one of his orchids after my late son, Lee aka Bucko.

David said:

Quote:
The plant in question won an award as the best Australasian Hybrid last weekend at the Newcastle Native Group Autumn show.

Apparently there is a particular naming convention to be followed and the suggestion from Brian is D. Bucko “Beckett”

D indicates it is a Dendrobium.

Elisabeth and I are totally blown away by this. His sister is amazed!

We don't know how to thank Brian and David but I had to share this with you.

Here are the pics:

Do you think it suits him?

Some on the Two Wheels forum think it should be black orchid and called the Rat Orchid! Very Happy

I think so.

The Orchid looks wild and crazy, but when you get closer you see it is quite fine and soft. The stem has many layers too. Wink
