Thanks for the not so unusual sighting austrain.
Talking about plume of diesel smoke, looks like ZA2114 is about to kick the bucket. Reminds me of the old ZC days.

Hi all,
Heard there could be two sets of Z's (well Z's and ZA's)
down south this weekend, probally no interest to anyone, but ohwell.

They should paint DV1 again i think. Even with all the cement dust taken off it id say she would still look shabby underneath.

Have noticed that on the last two weekends trains 731 and 735 have left Burnie as one combined train in the afternoon. When it happened two weeks ago I though it was as 632 and 636 were late into Burnie as they had been held up by Targa cars earlier in the day. However they did it again last weekend when both 632 and 636 were on time.
Does anyone know if there has been another change to the roster??? Would make sense as only one crew would be needed to get both trains to Conara Junction where 731 can be stabled till Sunday.
Not complaining mind you, last Saturday there were 6 locos hauling 40 -50 odd wagons. Sounded good powering out of the Devonport yard. Only thing that would make it better is if they were all Z's and ZA's.

I think there has been a change in the roster, heard something mentioned the other week, but I wasn't really paying much attention.

This evening, seen something that i thought was unusual, for Burnie anyway. Seen 6 DQ locos, 3 for the Melba set and 3 for the 36 train. One of the DQs was red DQ2002, although the red was rather dirty.

2100 was wedged between 2 MKA's this morning. (DQ-MKA-ZR-MKA)
bit late running, didn't past me until 10 today.
