Fairly quiet day today, went out to Redbank before going to Albion for a while.
Redbank:
2313 and 2100H are both stored in the front yards coupled to 2116D. Is 2313 heading to WA??, is 2100H "mothballed"??
Albion:
2389-1763D Sunlander.

2313 is in for repairs. 2100H is same - but not sure if it will come out again though.

Did you manage to get time off work to chase the train on the Kingaroy Branch like you were planning, Guss?

It has been mentioned on other groups, but not here, that a car hit Standard Gauge Train #K712 at Nyanda yesterday. Luckily, no one was injured.

tonight was overtaken by a stirng of locos along fairfield road at Yeronga
2353D, 1745D, 2350D, 1747D,2123F, 1743?D and zn unknown number 1720 in faded blue scheme as unable to read numbers due to speed and going away from road. They were inbound along dual guage- Educated guess is from Redbank to Fishman Island?
Interesting is the number of 1720s in the lineup
it was shades of the old southside.

Sightings 10/05/2008
1340hrs 2484H + 1721D + 1764D (elephant style) #6725 down freight (about 40 wagons) at Malu. The train was held partly in the loop, not sure why, as nothing was sighted approaching from the up direction.
1710hrs 2484H + 1721D + 1764D (as above) in Willowburn yard. 1723D was shunting the yard, re-marshalling the train.
Also in the yard MMX-001 (PV6 track recording vehicle), 2410D, 2500D and a number of other unidentified locos.
1725hrs 2346 + 2330 up empty coal crossed the Brook St (Toowoomba) LC.

Good to see 1723D out and about again. It was the unit painted in the Bicentenery livery in 1988, along with 2401D.

QR 1745D (Blue) is back on deck after been in storage for about five years. I thought I saw this locomotive in Mayne Yard yesterday evening, but it was dark and I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. The sighting was confirmed today.

I'm pretty sure I saw it in the middle of a 5 loco light engine movement through Normanby yesterday evening. It could really do with a good paint job!
