Been over a month since anything has been said in here.
Is it all quiet in the ACT at the moment?
Nothing interesting happening with the ARHS ACT?

Its a bit of a quiet patch in the ARHS at the moment.
130 year old Z12 No. 1210 awaiting boiler testing and running trials following reassembly.
105 year old C30T No. 3016 undergoing maintenance ahead of the 2008 steam season.

There's not a great deal happening at the moment, and most of what has been happening has been delt with elsewhere.
But I'll give you a quickl run down on the loco side of things.
1210- most of the running gear repairs are complete only the con rods to be fitted once the bigends are remetalled, which should occur in the next couple of weeks. She has also had a number of tubes replaced and has had an internal boiler inspection and the hydrostatic and steam tests should occur in a few weeks. She should run by the middle of the year, work is being undertaken as time permits as 3016 is the priority.
3016-Currently undertaking a few minor tone up jobs. The slide bars were taken up last weekend etc. She is also having the boiler painted with heat and corrosion resistant paint then insulation will be refitted. We are also refitting the self cleaning spark arrestor. We've also raised the front plate of the tender to the hight the should be (when the new tank was manufactured the front plates were about 5" too low). She'll be running over Easter.
73s Both 7315 and 19 went on a large jaunt around NSW with Boyd Monroe over the last mont or so, and have a few minor repairs required, but nothing to stop them running.

Does the ARHS-ACT's lone 48 class ever go out on tours? Would love to gunzel it

JRW is Junee Railway Workshops (formerly known as Austrack), they're in Junee (strangely enough) Roundhouse.
And Yes, 4807 will run tours when it returns.

3016 is running a special train this coming Friday night (16th May). Out of Canberra at 5:30pm, Bungendore at 7-7:30ish, back into Canberra at 22:10.

What speed is it going at? 2hours Canberra-Bungendore seems a long time, albeit the section of track after Queanbeyan is quite twisty.

75 mins = 2 hours? Not quite....
The precise section times (On a TOC 1 Table) on the up are 15 minutes CBA-QBN, 51 minutes QBN-BGD (Likely to be a tad quicker then this on the night).
On the down (TOC BL Table), 56 minutes BGD-QBN and 15 minutes QBN-CBA.
