1. Is steam4me getting used/updated or have people just left it sitting there to die. Last updates was on Friday, 28 December 2007 before that was Tuesday 18 September 2007.
2. Where is everyone uploading there msts stuff ?? That page was updated all the time with new stuff. when the page went off line for abit and come back on line it lost over 3/4 of its stuff. it's got stuff all on it now from before it went off line and nothing new ever gets put on it now.
3. Where can i start a Web Site for Msts Add-Ons and host everyones Msts Add-Ons In The One Place and I Will work off if the route works its uploaded The Best Way To Work It and Let The People That are Downloading work out if they wont it of not

This could be a fun discussion.
1. Just because the last stated update doesn't mean that was the last update:
31 Dec 07 Newroads v4.
09 Jan 08 Flexivan flat wagons loaded and empty updated.
10 Jan 08 VLCX louvre van (WCR) updated.
10 Jan 08 MLE standard flat wagon updated.
12 Jan 08 Victorian Railways Y Class updated.
08 Feb 08 ELX open wagon (VR) updated.
08 Feb 08 VHJA gypsum hopper (VR) updated.
08 Feb 08 CFCLA T387 (ex-YPR) updated.
17 Apr 08 several new Tutorials have been added.
How many people are aware that earlier this year the volunteer hobbyist behind Steame4me had what I would call a major health scare.
2. Alot was removed and still is removed due to copyright.
Some modellers have their own sites now due to Gimme Pigs and Pirating, they now control their models and it is up to them if the public get their models and what they can do with them.
I personally would like to see Steam4me become and be the Australian MSTS website.

I'm sure threads like this woud tick Yuri off no end.
If he has something to add, he'll add it when he can.
If theres not enough content being posted, perhaps you could start either producing the models and routes for others, or find something else to occupy your time.

If you are going to be hosting "everybodys MSTS add-ons" then you would need a lot of data transfer & bandwidth! If you are seriously considering starting a website to host people's files, you would need to get paid hosting with a large data transfer allowance or even consider a dedicated server if you have large files (MSTS routes etc) which are being downloaded constantly!
Forget free hosting for such a thing.
As for the complaint about steam4me, you aren't paying a cent to the creator of the site and creators of the content, so you should be grateful that you have what is there now, which is absolutely free!

Firstly - how about you try to speak 'the Queen's English', and also punctuate your statements, so that others have some remote chance of understanding them!!!
Secondly - Yuri and his Steam4Me website IS the Premier site for Australian MSTS add-ons - if it was not for Yuri's original initiative, dedication and enthusiasm we would NOT HAVE an Australian MSTS freeware community - full stop!!!!
Also, we have a lot to thank Peter Newell for - as well as his excellent Coals to Newcastle route, he has hosted one of the best collections of NSWGR steam era (1950 to 1965) rolling stock available, from many different Authors, and nicely complements what is available on Steam4Me.
I can understand your frustration at the apparent lack of new models coming out - this is for several reasons - MSTS is now some seven years old and some of the original model makers have moved on to other things in their life, so yes, there are LESS authors creating new content - and it does take TIME to create new models, and especially for creating new routes.
But, MSTS is FAR from dead - even though my own personal interest is NSWGR steam era ONLY (1950 to 1965), I know of at least FIVE (yes, that's right 5!!!) NSW routes that are currently being worked on, either upgrades to existing routes or completely new ones, several of these are due to be released in the not too distant future.
As for stock, in only the last month - TWENTY FOUR (yes, that's right 24!!!) new or upgraded locomotives have been released on the CTN downloads site - 12 x 40 Class diesels, 6 x SMR locos, 2 x RVR locos, 2 x 20 Class NSWGR and 2 x 26 Class NSWGR.
And, I do know that there is a lot more rolling stock to be released around the release date of Main Illawarra V3.
So, Grasshopper - sit back, stop complaining, shutup, and enjoy the incredible range of <<< FREE >>> MSTS add-ons that dedicated content creators have given you!!!

Along with the 5 NSW routes that Brian mentioned I know of 2 SA, 1 VIC and 2 QLD routes that are being worked on as well.
What have you done since December 28? I know Yuri has been overseas on holiday with his family (or isn't he allowed that) also he underwent major heart surgery and that takes time to recover from and also he has his own business to run as well.
You say you are to dumb to build routes and models, then how are you going to build the installers that are required for dial up download (several required depending on the size of the route) and broadband download (only one required).
Wake up son, stop complaining and do what everyone else does, either build your own stuff or sit back and wait patiently for the things to arrive, they will eventually.

Sorry, must make an adjustment to the routes being worked on, it is 3 QLD, 1 VIC, 2 SA and 1 WA, now put that together with the 5 NSW routes that Brian mentioned and that is a total of 12 routes being worked on at this moment

Speaking of SA routes, mine is not too far off beta test. It received the last of its signals yesterday. I may put a notice up about this shortly for anybody who is willing to drive the entire route, and report any signal faults, crashes, scenery flaws or any other anomalies
Stay tuned

Posting a thread like this is a good way to go about getting a virtual smackdown.

Actually Alltrains, you have underestimated the SA bit - it is 4 routes, not two - which makes it 14 Australian routes. And the detractors bleat about the lack of Australian stuff following the copyright thingy - what utter garbage!!!
And we builders who have continued to put in thousands of hours to routes and rolling stock have to continue to put up with the garbage in several threads recently where people who have a personal axe to grind and their selfishness blinds them to the reality to what MSTS still is in Australia today. Is it no wonder that virtually all the major builders have migrated away from Railpage Australia™ to other sites where personal abuse, whingeing, gimme pigging etc is not tolerated, where we no longer have to accept it and can get on quietly building for the majority of gratefuls.
And while we are on the subject of people who put tens of thousands of hours freely into this amazing hobby, Dr Yuri Sos, recently endured a life threatening medical intervention. There is not one thread on Railpage Australia™ by a user or a Moderator wishing him well - not one - hang your collective heads in shame. Oh there was one post from one silly old bugga who said something like "welcome back Yuri".
