SMU 261/262 are now in Brisbane and will commence on-track testing in the near future.

SMU 263/264/265/266 are stabled in Maryborough Yard. Many Units have now had the 'QR CityTrain' decal removed and just have a QR decal in the centre. Some people were hoping that a TRANSLink logo would appear next to the QR logo, but we all knew deep down that would not happen!

From what I have been told, QR rollingstock will not bear TransLink livery.

I would swear that the TransLink decals have been removed from the side of the new SMUs in Maryborough Yard. Last time I was there in April, most of them had said decals, but now they do not.

Along the same lines I saw EMU 61 pretty fresh out of rehab/refurb didn't have the logos next to the door either. Take what you will of that, it may have never had them applied in the first place, although i'm pretty sure all of them got them attached.

New decals on the way? (again)

The current ones are pretty horrible, especially since they covered the Citytrain logo with white tape, it's so imbalanced and out of place.

Thank God! It looks bad enough on the busses...

I don't mind the Tl livery on the buses. After spending a lot of time in Victoria where ALL PT services were of the one livery (MET Days), I think it would have been good to have everything in the one livery.

Same can be said for the ticketing system. Kock of about 90% of the zones, and create a similar system to Melbourne. MUCH more user friendly, but that's a different thread.

Cheers.

SMU 261/262 were supposed to go on a test run to Caboolture and Robina today. However, CityTrain #H1T1 passed through Strathpine on the Middle Road at 09:27, worked by IMU 176. I wonder why 260 SMU keep getting removed from this test run?

Anna busted out the hardhat again today for a look at the plant - apparently they are only a month off now.

First place they can put them is on the 3:30pm Cleveland train. Every day it's a 3 car unit and by the time it gets to Southbank station there is no room to breathe.

QR are obviously aware of it because the driver or guard has put an announcement across saying they apologise for the cramped conditions a couple of times.

This has been said for years. I recal when the CLeveland line first went to 3 car running, guards were appologising back then for the cramping also.

Cheers

I must admit, I was taken aback a little when I was passing Birkdale station and saw that service come in as a 3 car set. No surprises if people are being kept back from boarding the train.

Personally, I reckon it should be 6 car sets on any peak service out of the city.

Cheers

let me say how dissapointed i am with the 3:27 train to cleveland still a 3 seater.

Now i have had it .The gold coat trains are to high on qr priorities while the gold coast line continues t be rebuilt, suburban line s are becoming dilapidated and the cleveland line by yhte looks of it has no upgrade works until after 2016.
