Thanks Chris Smile

When I saw that the consist was entirely water gins, it reminded me of a story I'd read in a c1947 children's book about Australian railways that I'd had when I was a kid - the actual title & authors of which escapes me for the moment.

Anyway the gist of the story was that Broken Hill was a "dry" town as such, and had to rely on trains bringing water from Menindee to survive - the point being the importance of the railway in keeping Broken Hill "fluid".

Of course when this book was written, railways were still pretty much king in all the important ways; it's hard to imagine the authors writing in the same vein had this same book been written 60 years later. Ah well.........

On with the show.

Where is our darling Miss Piggy? Bonus points if you can tell me when I captured her.........

I'd agree with the Shunter, and I'd suggest it was around 1982 when it was there for a minor overhaul.

But that's just my Wild Smart-a--ed Stab in the Dark Wink

The 1996 Open Day, to be precise. Here's the uncropped pic (with assorted gunzels):

4464, thou hast the floor Smile

BTW Chovies5910, your spelling of Eveleigh was damn close - even if your answer wasn't.
