I wonder why they didn't go all the way and change all FA train numbers over to PN numbers instead of just the fuel/oil trains ie: 1591/5192 and 1891/8192 wheat trains.
I also wonder if it's a Railcorp/ARTC directed change or a PN one?

Curious that FreightCorp used to run a 1527/5126 (Tamworth oil, containers, cement, etc...) and a 1827/8126 (one of the two Blayney container jobs) but now PN are using the lower odd number, ie the 5 instead of the 7. There's trivia for ya.
 | Some more trivia also curious to me was as xx3x is within the PN number allocations, why didn't the Canberra Oil revert back to 1239 and 2138 as it was previously
I can understand the number 5 as the Canberra Line has 1221 (Garbo), 1223 (earmarked for 2nd Garbo if ever happens), so 1225 is next in line. The other oilies may have got the number 5 by default (but I am only surmising )

What are these trains??
What are the loco combinations?
I would presume they must be G and or X combos?
EDIT-- Just found it is the PN Oil train.
Drink lots and lots of Grog. Its good for you!!

| Long Live the Weston's Wheaties
I'm guessing here, but the fuel trains are actual "pathed" trains, whereas the Weston's job runs on an "as required" basis...

Thats correct. All fuel trains had mandatory paths under FA. I think it stayed the same under PN, but not 100%.

Meh. No place for sentimentality in the rail industry these days.

In some cases there is no place for the rail industry in the rail industry these days.
