B80 when in operational might be the last B class in revneue service left on the Broad Gauge?
My tip is it will go the same way as the others on standard gauge.

It leads one to ponder the situation El Zorro are in. They are in desperate need for more motive power, with new contracts and existing combined. Yet rather than actually purchase more locos or tender a company to build them their own fleet, they continue to spend countless dollars hiring other companies and preservation groups locos.
Surely this cannot be cost effective in the long-term? El Zorro have grown and become a player within the Victorian rail network...so isn't it about time they started looking the part and saving some money while they're at it?

Now where did I read that the plot to get some C class locomotives for El Zorro fell in hole?

We know. I am sure it would have been reported if it had of moved elsewhere.
