Could anybody please advise of a date on which Xplorer Intermediate car EB 2513 was transferred from Dynon to Bombardier at Dandenong for refurbishment?
It was loco hauled down from Sydney on 22/8/2008 to Dynon for transfer onto broad guage bogies, and have not been able to gain further info since.
Could somebody also please confirm a report that E 1 left Bombardier yesterday on it's return journey to Sydney via Dynon?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance for any assistance given!

An xplorer car went through Southern Cross today (between 12 and 1) behind a A class, with another A running behind (push-pull) among other wagons.

It would have been A class, wagons, XPL, wagons, A class for braking purposes, not for secret hiding reasons!

Why can't that Xplorer cars be just towed behind only a loco useing the loco's brakes

Wouldn't it be on BG bogies that possibly don't line up with all the braking gear?

I actually thought that'd be too obvious, and wasn't right.
Hence the extra wagons and loco, then...
