thats odd. Unrestored loco's that had NO protection at Thirlmere suddenly require guards.
I suppose permission can be obtained to go in with an employee.
Unless its changed since i had a guided tour in there back in 2003. |

Ok. it all makes sense now.
Correct authority was obtained for all photographs in rail corridor and depots. note that some are taken from the cab.

The Broadmeadow lot is currently sitting in BMD yards having travelled from Chullora last night.
Consist is 44204/TRC/7100/5096/HCX/1219/end verandah car/JABAS No.4/4916/Railcorp wagon/VHO/SWT/2 Railcorp wagon/TorKL (CF Livery)

Why was the VHO moved? Isnt that one of the RTM's most used carriages?

At a guess I'd say that SWT5 & VHO1816 are in the consist to provide braked vehicles. The SWT & the VHO will more than likely return to Thirlmere with 4916.
Just for the record the other rollingstock's numbers are
TRC31299, HCX868, HFA1032, VHO1816, SWT5 and the rear unit was a KL
