Thanks theanimal. Must have been interesting operations having signalers working out amongst themselves how to overcome a breakdown etc before the time of Controllers.

OK, now a new question. What was officially opened on 05/12/94?

Not the Y. There is a plaque on a station where it can be seen by the public.

A clue: the station bearing the plaque is not served by cityrail.

You are on the wrong track. Said plaque is not on Coffs Harbour station.

I was a little surprised that this railway infrastructure had an official opening.

Not the concrete bridge which has replaced the fine timber trestle across the low area of South Grafton.

The plaque is on a station where the infrastructure was first built. The station is not known for warm weather.
