Sprinter to Seymour (always a mad person)

I don't often get to travel on trains. Last Friday I took the day off and caught a Sprinter to Seymour. I then remembered why driving is so much better.... and quieter! Sure enough, there was some mad, drunk or stoned bloke on the train. Talking with such foul and abusive language on the phone. He would then latch on to some poor person unlucky enough to be near him then light up a smoke. Where was the V/line staff I ask. Who knows, he just hid behind his little closed door only to appear when we arrived at a station. Ok this might not happen often, but its a great reason to avoid any form of public transport. Some people might be asking "why did you not say anything". Well, this guy had a certain "you have a go at me and I will rip your arms off" look. This is not the first time i have had to share a train with some drooling mad person. I think V/line should monitor the passengers more closely while the train is in motion.

Other then that, the first class ACN on the way back to Melb was very pleasant.

You appear to have been unlucky, I have travelled from seymour to melbourne and have never struck such problems although a have known of a number of cases travelling from Benalla. The conductor will usually communicate with the local police to meet the train at the next station. The police take such calls seriously. I can only remember a handfull incidents in the last 10 to 15 years.(on the Albury line)

i was traveling back to work after a test run with a mate we were sitting in the first car on a suburban train almost back at newport workshop , then a drug f##ked pig got on and started to hassel the nice people on there way home ( most of them being the older type grandmas ) , my mate and myself stood up with our railway gear on and all our tool about to leave when this clown started to hassel the old ladys on board , now , my mate who is a very passive bloke took a disliking to this clown being very much in the old ladys face, and when the train stopped dragged the bastard out we held him down and the sparks driver called the cops , no more smeg hole , old ladys happy , cops happy , driver happy , myself and my mate happy one more stop the back to work Crying or Very sad

I remember an XPT that I was intending to get to Sydney got delayed on the way to Melbourne because they had to get the police to remove some idiots in the middle of nowhere, and left Melbourne 8 minutes late, arriving into Central 1 hour late, but anyway I appreciate their attitute towards those junks.

Last time I did that was on a Bankstown line train when a scumbag came through asking everyone for money.

Part of the thing that annoyed me was that he didn't seem in need (I do actually put my hand in my pocket on occasion, but not for the professionals - and I've heard some make big dough). But the thing that annoyed me the most was that he took one look at me and moved on. If he'd had the balls to ask me, I'd just have muttered "naah mate" and let him go. But he didn't. After asking the folks behind me, he went straight to a small Chinese girl a couple of seats up, having bypassed me and only me.

That was angry-making.

I expressed my displeasure at this, and voiced an opinion that he should vacate the train at his earliest opportunity. In 24 point bold.

He complied. All stations is orrite sometimes.

Felt good about that the rest of the day. Smile
