Hi this is mainly a question for the folks up north or anyone operating these trains, above here is the ARTC timetable for ballast workings up North. I have book in at Boggabri Motel next Thursday cause I want to film this north of Wee Waa on Friday, also the Transfer Pony Express Track Layer, and the Concrete Sleeper Train comming from Grafton heading to Werris Creek on Thursday.

But I ask who is doing the ballast working up there cause if the Cootes 442's are working down the south on there ballast duties and the Ballast workings up north started on Wednesday then who and what locos are working that train?

Railway Museum vandals need some serious @r$e kicking right now... Why the hell do they have to weck our hobby for. It's a load of BS.

Pacnat is crewing the ballast trains and the sleeper trains as far as I know. A 81 and 4894 departed for the north west on a rake of NDFF ballast hoppers with one flying_donkey in the seat early yesterday morning.

Oh ok thanks for the infomation don't know if I want to go now like would be awesome to see but had hoped for more interesting units to be doing the operations then just 81 and 48's. Had hoped for like either other Cootes units or SSR, IRA etc and I don't mean to disrespect to PN by saying that but I can see 81's and 48's any other time. But guess I can still see the 80's banking over Ardglen, damn shame I was not up there to see four 80 class baning.

So whats happening with the El Zorro trains lately?
Are they still running cause I have not herd much about that service for a while.

Again Thanks for the into Trolley

No problems, runs on average twice a week, yesterday it was GM36/C501/G532, at this stage ELZ isn't supposed to be running to the North West during September or October due to the trackwork but we will wait and see.

That shot came up well FD.

I think 'an 81 class' not 'A class numbered A 81' is the case here. Wink

Pacific National will be doing the ballast working out of the creek, they expect crews to arrive there(the creek) on the 8th,
there should be a sleeper train being unloaded in the creek very soon.
