No surprises there Les. This one was always going to sell-it was just a matter of when the sales took off. You on this trip Les |
I was just thinking the other day at work funny enough...
Ohhh darn, if bookings reach the sell-out stage, which they surely will... that dreaded MFS will make a fugly appearance as a part of the consist on the train no doubt... Thank god, I'm goin' Premier to avoid it like the plague...
My bet is a consist of:
SWT(x2) + GMS-TBE-MBE-HN-RFN-CN-MFS( )-EFS-FS thats all the current available mainline runable cars...
The HFS is currently, or was last I knew withdrawn from service, after HV Steamfest, now stored at Goulburn awaiting roof repairs...
The HFS would be desirable to have back in traffic, to ban the MFS to the burning back blocks & cleansing fires of hell as a static exhibit, stuffed & mounted at Thirlmere (thats my view on it anyway)

Yes Stephen & Dalts I am rostered for this train.
Be careful you don't wish too hard for the wrong things; you may have the misfortune to be rostered for the MFS.

Well on this trip were both pax, but on a future trip, if we are unlucky to strike the horried thing, will just have to suck eggs...
I don't mind crewing the darm thing, I just hate sitting in the horried thing as a pax... hard as nail seats & tacky looking interior... worst type of car ever invented...
I'll get lumped with a MFS knowing my luck on the ARHS NSW Bathurst trip the next day...

I'll put good money on it the DD will be running, but as of 3/9/08 the Yank is literally days off steaming, if it hasn't done so already.
The MFS is a type of carriage too. Google is your friend mate.

Well spotted, I've been on the lookout for the triple-header STN, never would have thought to look there. At least we know they are thinking about it!
