For those considering travelling on this train I recommend that you make your bookings soon.

No surprises there Les. This one was always going to sell-it was just a matter of when the sales took off. You on this trip Les Question

I was just thinking the other day at work funny enough...
Ohhh darn, if bookings reach the sell-out stage, which they surely will... that dreaded MFS will make a fugly appearance as a part of the consist on the train no doubt... Thank god, I'm goin' Premier to avoid it like the plague... Surprised Wink Laughing

My bet is a consist of:

SWT(x2) + GMS-TBE-MBE-HN-RFN-CN-MFS(MadEvil or Very Mad)-EFS-FS thats all the current available mainline runable cars...
The HFS is currently, or was last I knew withdrawn from service, after HV Steamfest, now stored at Goulburn awaiting roof repairs...
The HFS would be desirable to have back in traffic, to ban the MFS to the burning back blocks & cleansing fires of hell as a static exhibit, stuffed & mounted at Thirlmere (thats my view on it anyway)

Yes Stephen & Dalts I am rostered for this train.

Be careful you don't wish too hard for the wrong things; you may have the misfortune to be rostered for the MFS.

Well on this trip were both pax, but on a future trip, if we are unlucky to strike the horried thing, will just have to suck eggs... Razz Twisted Evil
I don't mind crewing the darm thing, I just hate sitting in the horried thing as a pax... hard as nail seats & tacky looking interior... worst type of car ever invented...

I'll get lumped with a MFS knowing my luck on the ARHS NSW Bathurst trip the next day...

I'll put good money on it the DD will be running, but as of 3/9/08 the Yank is literally days off steaming, if it hasn't done so already.

The MFS is a type of carriage too. Google is your friend mate.

You know-i really wouldn't care either eay for trip i do-cause i seem to spend most of my day out the windows so what difference does it make. Ah well, shall have to come and say hello at some point in the day Les-though it may be either very early or very late-cause i will probably be out and window most of the run over the mtns. And Dalts and myself are in premier, so we may not go that far up the train outside premier class

Well spotted, I've been on the lookout for the triple-header STN, never would have thought to look there. At least we know they are thinking about it!

No, it means that Railcorp haven't released their Special Train Notice yet. They usually won't release until about 2 weeks before, so keep an eye out this week.
