Very nice models, good to see something new.

I did a few mods to them

L class : used the sd40 cabview
used my 'c' class sounds
darkened and weathered textures
gave it new front windscreens
used my 'headout' view from my 'c' class (about perfect)

XGAY: darkened the textures a bit
(some of the textures look familiar !!! ???)

Some of the .eng and .wag details are not correct, some I corrected, some I left .

The models look lovely on the move though. I've spent quite a few hours today and yesterday running them.

L251 in 'original' condition just out of Junee

Headout view near Harden

ATN grain near Jindalee

EL61 assists L251 out of Werris Ck

ATN grain rounds curve out of Quirindi

Backlit shot of EL and L251

I Might Not be a Battered Sav that you get from a Take-Away Food shop , But I'm a big fan of the 3801.

I'm not sure whether the note about asking permission about the changes
I made to your model, ( on my computer ) was 'sarcastic/serious' or not.

It's not as if I uploaded 'my' version for all to share. I was just pointing out that I modified it to 'my' specs, telling people who viewed the
screenshots that they were not of the 'original' model.

Otherwise you'd be getting queries from people saying their loco did not have the 'headout' view...etc

The 'boarded up' front windows bothered me the first time I ran it, so I quickly replaced them.

I was one of the pioneers of making MSTS models in Australia, and have seen the ups and downs of what has occurred over the years, from my 'free and easy' attitude, to the dark days where
"you shall not publish screenshots of modified units" attitude, pretty much scared off any new modellers to the scene.

From the days of being abused by 'PM / email / this forum' for making mistakes.

I could have blatantly pointed out all the errors/faults, but instead gave you encouragement.

I was being quite polite in thanking you for the models and whilst admitting there were a few mistakes, I have got a lot of enjoyment from them in the last few days....the reason I make models and play with MSTS.

I hope your remark was in jest...or are we heading back to the old
'bickering' days....that many can remember.

I was also being quite polite in pointing out, indirectly, that the XGAY.ace file, is really my original ngty.ace file, modified with xgay textures !! whether you realized it or not.

Therefore I could have made the same comment about asking permission etc but I didn't. I really couldn't care less.

Sorry to be long-winded and sounding angry, I was only trying to help.

However one mistake of both models was, no 'readme' file was included.

If indeed you don't wan't people to show pictures of modified models,
then this could have been stated in the 'readme'.

All the best and look forward to more models from you

Gavin

Mate, It is ok to pointed out the errors/faults to me if necessary.

I did realise It had minor mistakes when I'd made it, I had put a thought that I was gonna redo it all.

The problem was, I didn't have like proper Pics of the L Class, and don't even have a HO scale Model of the W.A. L Class. Confused

Ok, I am as guilty as you are from my last post

Mate, I fully understand your helping with situations on this.
That's understandable.

I was Meaning to Make a ReadMe file, Just forgotten to do it.
Since this model was made early this year and didn't release it till earlier this month.

When I do a better version of the L Class, I'll remember to make a Read-Me file too.

And the colour texture If i can point out. When I made the texture,
The Maroon Red looked too Rich, I noticed ikt was too rich but forgotten to get the eyedropper tool on GIMP and eyedropped the original Pic of the ATN L Class.
