There were only 84 sightings for this week, which is 12 sightings less than last week, making a total of 3544* sightings for this year to date. (* most of the sightings missing for the first week of 2008). On day 250 last year we had seen 3763 sightings. The big drop in this weeks sightings is due to 1MP9 SCT train being derailed in South Australia early in the week.
We have seen three sighting on the B/G this week. On Sunday we saw a down EMU transfer to Ballarat workshops with T378(VR) and 7M+1994T+225M+89M+1946T+99M. And we also saw two light loco movements on Friday with T369(CF) on the down and T377(CF) returning on the up, it was probably a loco change on the B/G ballast train?
On the S/G we have seen 12 DL class loco sightings and six AN class sightings. We have seen seven BL class sightings and only four sightings of the XRB slave units and only two of them were seen on the Patrick's trains this week. On the SCT trains we have seen nine sightings of the new SCT class locos and one SCT G class, G513(S). On the P & O trains we have seen 12 EL class, 9 VL class and six SCT G class sightings.
We have seen only five grain trains on the S/G this week. We have seen three El Zorro grain trains, on the up on Wednesday we saw G532(S)+C501(VR)+GM36(CR) with 31 hoppers. On the down on Thursday we saw a SCT G class and 18 hoppers and on Saturday we saw G532(S) on the up with 18 hoppers. And we have seen two GWA grain trains from Adelaide to Junee and return, with CLP17+GM43+2210+CLF5 and 40 hoppers on the up on Wednesday returning on Friday with CLP17+CLF5?+2210?+GM43? and 40 hoppers.
On Sunday we saw a light loco movement with T386(ELZ) on the up. And Mondays up PM9 came in with SCT007+SCT013*+SCT012*+SCT009+G513*(S).

Regards, Graham Elliott.
