According to the VR "F" series W&W drawings the posts was 4"x3" spaced 8 feet apart.
The top rail was a 4"x4" turned up 45 deg. So it would appear to be a diamond shape.
The other rails was also 4"x3".
Hope this helps.

What was the question again?
A bus is a glorified toaster on wheels.

Why didn't you answer him in that particular thread then?
It makes no sense to make a new thread with a question about fences as the title, then post three statements on the subject. What are the rest of us supposed to think the thread is about if the title is mis-leading?
A bus is a glorified toaster on wheels.

This was a specific answer to a question by a particular person and not part of the original question I asked about VR fenced right of way.
I guess I am not perfect like you "Rev"

Ok. This has gone far enough.
R_Class, please respond to the thread where the question was asked. This would not be considered off topic for that thead.
For everybody else, please go here: http://www.railpage.com.au/f-t11343298.htm to continue the discussion about fencing.
