I purchased from UK Trainsim last week and my credit card was charged A$58 which included 1 months Premium subscription to UK Trainsim downloads.
I was advised by email it was posted last Tuesday and I arrived today in my letterbox.

I'll buy this game when my 'puter works again...I'm not allowed to put train games on my missus' laptop (which I'm on now!)....
How hard is it to make your own lines compared to TRS2006?

Dragged this up from the deep but wanting you all to know if you don't already, update mk1 is out and fixes all the major points brought up originally.

I had very similar complaints to those already listed here. To get decent graphics I also found my machine struggled, yet it runs Microsoft Flight Simulator X quite happily on dense to very dense setting.
Sure it's pretty, but I still found Trainz better as an overall package and even EU-07 (http://www.eu07.pl/) better as a simulation of an actual loco.

yeah great and they expect money for it to.... bastards I say, I paid 90 odd dollars for this game and the scenarios are just not with it... I expected more in terms of Scenarios.... I am not dissapointed though I am a little dis-heartened by EAs push for dollards over customer satisfaction.... Milk, milk, milk............

Ummm, the update is FREE
http://www.railsimulator.com/
Go to the above site and look to the right, its not that hard to see its free.
I recently got a new computer after the old one died and with this new update, KRS has run effortlessly and I've been able to great a large amount of scenario's, its definitely not the kind of game a keen user of TRS would enjoy unless they really enjoyed a challenge at driving.
I know a few TRS users who like their toy-like DCC module and hate KRS because its impossible to use...yet I seem to be able to drive a Black 5 in KRS fine

For those thinking about buying KRS, be aware that although its a Kuju / EA game , neither of these companies now have any involvement at all in the game.
Its being supported by a very small UK Company called RSDL, who despite their good intentions, seem to have very little in resources available to fix the
game bugs , and its got lots of em.
You will find out if and when you build your own routes.
Id personally wait until Trainz2009 is released.
