HINT: Some of the Interail boys might know.

Correct. One of CLP10 genset last year while waiting to be fitted with radios.

Do the 423's have gensets?

Yes emdCLP17, unless they're fitted with a mechanical or hydraulic transmission. All diesel electrics have a genset fitted.

Why did they cover the control panels for? If they didn't want them to be used they could have just disabled them and tagged them, then again I shouldn't question a managers thinking! Rolling Eyes

I think emdCLP17 was referring to stand alone genset for train power not the traction package.



Mate, if that loco pulls as hard as you do, it'd move anything.
I'd still rather have an ALCo.

Give me till Friday to get a photo up. I'm having some trouble with my camera at the moment (merely dust).
