N 460 and 5 car H set on a footy train. N  Fn 5 +N 4 also on a footy train. Also a Vlocity all at North Geelong

Hi All,
Just back from a holiday in Victoria. When in Ballarat I took these two shots. Can anyone tell me what these where ?? The Y was stabled, and the XR's 557 / 558 / 552 were about to leave on a grain train. Taken 19th Sept ( Thursday night )

The Y does the shunting up there in the yard/s, and the XRs are pretty much on a grainy, from somewhere out west...

Yesterday was one of the best days gunzelling in the city I have ever had, it was a shame my camera decided to have a massive malfunction at Tottenham.
It started off with VL39 arriving at Sunbury to form a Southern Cross pass which was my first ride on a 3 car V/lo.
The Sydney bound trash was sighted between Sunshine and Tottenham
My camera decided to have a massive malfunction so I missed getting photos of X49 with another X at Tottenham with what appeared to be a container train (too many other trains in front to see properly)
The Y class pilot was sitting just next to them
Then X39? and A81 were sitting at the head of a long rake of container flats from Appleton Dock (i think)
And X44 was waiting at West Footscray Junction to couple onto a rake of grain wagons.
Then at Sth Kensington we paralleled G521, VL357 and EL63 which were taking MA6 into Kensington to be loaded, G535 and another SCT G were also present in the yard.
My camera started working again at Southern Cross however the zoom is partly busted.
Then later on in the morning I saw X43? with the Lyndhurst Cement next to the Franklin Street signal box
X44 was present at Nth Melbourne with the Kensington grain shunt
Then the G, VL and EL were still at Sth Kensington
Later on in the afternoon the G, VL and EL were gone and so was X44
But then at about 19:25 the G, EL and VL were back with the VL and EL having been turned and all 3 locos at the head of MA6
Then at Tottenham the X and A were still there as well as the double X's, however XR552, 557 and XR558 had all just arrived on a grain train from Ballarat.
Some pictures will hopefully be up later.

Today I intended to check out the wagon scrapping at Newport but bumped into a certain railfan, who mentioned that C501-GM45-GM36 were due into Melbourne from out west about 4 pm.
It didn't run though Paisley until 4:30 pm, which left me waiting for 90 minutes, but it was worth it.
