I used to love trains as a kid, but i just sort of stopped paying them any attention til recently, and i remember how much i used to love them!!! I'm gonna get out my grandpa's old Hornby train sets again! They are AWESOME!!!

I'm trying to get a grip on how big Aus's train networks are in terms of how many trains we run around the country...

Is it true that pacific national, queensland rail and sct are the only guys running east west? Does anyone know how many trains they send to perth from adelaide, melbourne, sydney and brisvegas?

I remember seeing these trains as a kid and they were huge! Someone told me there were over a kilometre, is that right? how many carriages do you normally see?

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows...
