A YOUNG man has been struck by a train after trying to walk over a level crossing at Hoppers Crossing railway station this afternoon.
Metropolitan Ambulance Victoria said the male, believed to be in his mid-20s, was treated for minor injuries by paramedics at 3.30pm and would be taken to Werribee hospital.
Connex said trains on the Werribee line would be replaced by buses between Laverton and Werribee until further notice.
A report released earlier this year showed Victoria had the worst level crossing safety record in Australia |

Well the Report from the relevent people at work stated it was a fatality
And from a drivers wife who witnessed it said it was a fatal
The Media has been wrong before so pull your head in
