Well, I guess it makes things easier in terms of getting on the train initially.

It's a lot more difficult dozing off when you are sat perpendicular to the direction of travel.

Depends. The tricky bit, once you have dozed off, is not toppling over on top of the person next to you when the train brakes.

A Set 13&04 took me to Perth from Maddington. Set 04 has a new pantograph in bright red, then A Set 08 took me to Claremont. On return, A Set 07 took me to Perth and i got A Set 29 back to Maddington

These are some A Set numbers that i saw doing the Showground Shuttles today

Set 7, 14, 25, 42.

There was a 6 Car A Set stabled at Claisebrook Depot with a Australind driving car,

4 Car Australind thru Maddington at 6:10pm returning to Picton

Yesterday, 3 x 6 car sets were operating showgrounds special running express from Perth to Showgrounds and return.

I wonder if these returned to the Mandurah/Clarkson line before peak hour?

A ferris wheel is the first step in making our city, Perth more vibrant but please don't make it expensive like the bell tower so it seems un-attractive.

Six car set 54/56 this morning came out of the Mandurah yard for the 07:03am run to Perth and upon arrival at the platform immediately failed. Reboot of the system failed, even the PA system did not work. Passengers had to be disembarked by staff yelling through the doors.

07:03am service was cancelled, the service arriving from Clarkson for the 07:13am service picked up the slack loading passengers from platform 2 and leaving on time.

Upon arrival at Perth Underground, platform announcement informed that train would continue all stops to Whitfords, then express to Clarkson, however, in-train no announcement was made to that effect (I sat near the door, otherwise I would not have heard the platform announcement). I got off at Leederville, so not sure how the service continued.

have seen spotted three car sets doing showground express patterns to and from the show, takes about 11mins to get there, done journey planner today and it doesnt run on the last day dammit!!!

fingers crossed i can get an non packed train to the show,

Armadale Line is not copeing well this week, with the loss of four car sets on the freo and midland line, makeing avaliable is two car sets on peak hour services makeing it really crammed, for you even to try and get a seat or floor space you have to be at perth station just to get in the train or wait ages!! even getting off at my train station beckenham the train is still full enough for people to be in the doors still.

Will not tollerate negative feedback on my fotopic site, if you have something to say write down on a piece of paper send of to someone who cares!!!

Big blunder by Transperth. Simon O'Brien should be sacked. Fancy taking away carriages from the tax payers who finish work at such time. Why should the Perth Show crowd get extra trains? Most of the people are dole people anyway, as working class people have no time to go to the show during the week.

That's a bit unfair. A lot of workers take holidays, our office is missing several people who are spending the school holidays off, quite a few of them going to the show. My wife and daughter went on Wednesday, and they're not dole people.

Not to mention that the cost of the Show in entrance fees and rides is so high that someone on the dole wouldn't be able to afford it.

The car parks at Mandurah station during this time are definitely emptier during morning rush hour. (Mind you, by later in the day, when families catch the train up to the Show, the car parks are far fuller than normal.)

Observation: Trains always late on the Armadale Line, makes getting a connecting bus difficult.

Thas nice orac68.

Looks like Set 22 has either been washed or repainted. Looks like new.

Lot of paint work. Just about all the electrical compartments underneath have been done up as well.
