Looking at the clues, the Mt Pleasant line was ruled out already, as is the old Glenelg line

Goodwood on the other former railway to Glenelg?

Not Melton either.
I would have thought Melton was a Station rather than a "Halt".

Judging by previous hints, this line was closed some time before 1963 and was either a stopping place for passenger trains or a water stop, with no sidings provided.

It appears unless I'm wrong that it is not on any of the two former Glenelg railways either.

That makes it really interesting indeed.......

Definitely not on either of the Glenelg lines.
Was a stopping place for passenger trains.
No sidings provided.
Not a water stop.
Definitely closed before 1963.

Cheers,
Wayne

Ok then, out of left field (and have no idea if this was actually a halt) -

St Vincent St/Jervois Bridge?

Very good question GC2 Cool

I've been learning from you, lustychant.
This question will reveal itself as a very easy one if you think through all the clues given, and possibly think "outside the square" a bit.

Not St Vincent St/Jervois Bridge, and I'm not sure myself if it was a halt or a Station.

The 'halt ' I was refering to was on the line that ran from Adelaide (Nth Tce) through to the former Exhibition Center near Frome Rd. I think the line ended inside one of the buildings with passengers alighting west (closer to Nth Tce) along the line.

Don't know if there was another stopping place on the line in between. In saying that I think I might know what it may be Cool however it was not the answer I originally meant.

Your answer is not correct!

Now maybe you will tell us what you have suddenly thought of since posting this answer.

Torrens Parade Ground is indeed the answer I was after.

It was never a Station, just a halt on this relatively short lived line from Adelaide Station to the Exhibition Grounds.

Looking forward to your next fiendish question, lustychant!

Cheers GC2, I have to admit I fluked that one.

I never usually get sick and I seem to have this ridiculous flu going around so I apologize in advance if the question isn't as fiendish as some of my previous ones Cool .

This 'station' was the terminus of a regularly scheduled railcar service for many years.
