Today i went for a drive up to Conara.
2002 was sitting at the front of 15-20 odd log wagons facing north.
Probably 40-50 log wagons in total, 2 rakes of coal hoppers (About 40 again)
Along with the ballast tampering equipment with what looks to be a freshly ballasted road.
Will post photo's soon.
Regards, Brodie

The previous GM / CEO of PNT said if logs were to be carted for the pulp mill that new wagons would be required.
The QS wagons from Burnie are at Western Junction.

Coming home from launceston this afternoon met 2 trucks in town each with a log wagon on and at the Hagley sidling passed the coal train with 2110 leading 2114 in the middle and 2113 or 2112 trailing plenty of smoke.

Nice shots there Brodie.
It'd be nice to know when this will run. How rare would that be, a single DQ on a log train!!

pity it's not revenue earning!
Remember,
The light at the end of the tunnel could very well be an on-comming train!

Technically this is a revenue earning train. Just a one-off occasion.

The long rake of Log wagons were being shunted at Western this morning by Zb's now only a small rake remains there. Only guessing they may of headed down to east tamar with some of the wagons.

They damage that many ? One would think worn out ones would be replaced at a service. Hard case.

The knuckles would be off / for wagons, which rarely see inside ETJ workshop. Just replaced as & when needed by wagon staff around the traps.
Used to get them built back up again with runs of weld, but i think they gave that away.
