Many manned stations have just a single staff member on duty some of the time though there will be more than one at certain times to allow for peaks and required breaks.
I agree that there will be times when all that can be done is to call for assistance. However at least that can be done with staff present. It cannot be done at unattended stations unless the emergency talking brick is working correctly, answered and a suitable response arranged by the operator. That is not always the case.

Also the Union wants some V/Line unmanned stations to upgrade to become staff stations from First to Last service.

If you call platform 3 anything useful at all, since every single up and down service at night departs platforms 1 and 2, where all the trouble is. Lately, not even the security guards or AOs show up there, except when changing trains. |
Wait, so are you saying that platforms one and two are where the trouble is?
I reckon that overpass would be shifty as at night, as would a place like Laburnum, and even North/West Richmond.

Yes they do. The "safe area" is always under CCTV surveillance and other areas may be as well.

Safe area? As opposed to the un-safe area?
I'd be putting the whole thing under constant surveillance, plus AO's on patrol 24/7.

I pay my fee's to the Union and 4 times I have gone to them about things just to be told "Sorry we can not help you" and no one has told me not to take the posters down, so unless my boss tells me not to take them down they will come down as they are not postered produced by Connex.
Also the Union has picked a very good time to do this as well because the tenders are coming in and it's a good way for the RTBU to try and take over and force it back into the hands of the public.

Do Stony Point stations have CCTV and talking bricks?
A true friend will see you through when others see that you are through.

However they were put up by Connex staff (union members). As you are someone who works on the stations, surely you should accept how useful it is to have station staff on stations.
If there were no stations staffed at all, you wouldn't be in a job, remember that.
I'm appalled by your selfish attitude.
Regardless, if you take posters down, they will just put up replacements. Staff everywhere have been told who to contact for more posters.

Another one of your conspiracy theories. It's got nothing to do with who operates the system or whether its a private organisation or government organisation.
It's about getting the government to commit to staffing stations as part of their transport plan, regardless of whose railway it is.

The question was do they have CCTV and talking bricks. I said they don't have them. That implies they don't have either of them.
Frankston being the exception on the line.
