Question to anybody. I put this in sightings as I will sight in future but have only heard it. What train runs throught Harden Sunday morning around 6am - 6.30am. All I know that there is at lest one GM (believed to be older unit) by the noise it/they make on the Up through Harden. I was thinking it may be a QRN job (M-B)but can't say for sure.

The only thing i can think of is 7BM2 on the down but doubtful there would be a GM on it, A DL maybe

The only one on the UP you will get through Harden at that time on a Sunday is 6PS7 and again doubtful for a GM.

Cheers, Michael

No loco in Australia works like an NR does!!

3982 through Harden on Up at 0538. Nothing shown in SWTT around 630 except for spare paths each way.

Redundant Area Controller.

The train you see would be a great help as it will reveal if its possible for this company to have a GM or older loco like it on this train.

Well I didn.t get to see anything Sunday morning as the body said to rest from flu-y condition. We did however did sight an ARG/QRN train powering out of Harden on the down with a short colourful Manildra empty wheatie neaded by 2202, 2208 and what looked like 423 something. 2208 looked good in the shaft being very clean.

Could I ask, are you quoting the shape of the loco or the number is in 'it was in the shape of a 423' or 'it was 423--'.

L265,2202,2208 operated 9381 to Narrandera on Saturday, returned on Sunday to Nowra.

GM10 was being used on Manildra services when they were leasing some it with KL unit and SCT G,some colourful lash ups.

I am now thinking the third loco may have been a 'L' or even L265. It's a pity the camera was elsewhere. The hoppers all seem to have painted steel in greens and yellows with Manildra on each one. I think the 'L' was shut down as why would 3 biggish loco be all powering for a relatively short (around 15 wagons). It certainly didn't take them long to through Harden and power up to Demondrille and it was gone.

What I also forgot to mention was that the L or whatever was still painted in the old Interail colours
