Saw both N's double-heading with FN2? on a down Geelong Pass through Werribee at about 1840.

Maybe they'll finally get rid of the drop down line Smile
You mention the 'drop down line' like it's a bad thing Razz.

On a serious note, I do agree. Just a pity the mods couldn't have been done on the one loco, s multiple units wouldn't need to be taken out of service and repainted.

Cheers

Consist was N468+N460+BZN267 (new livery)+FN18 (red livery) on 8241 (1809 down Geelong); double headed as one of the N's will be used tomorrow for light loco grain loop signals testing, and will presumably return on an up service tomorrow night or Thursday morning

Being a Wednesday there may not be as much as there would on a weekend!

But I hope there's a few out and about to post pics online; I wanted to go but uni put an end to that idea!

N468 was in the Geelong loco yard at 8am this morning. I dare say it's had a failure of some type.

I'm guessing you didn't get a chance to read 3 posts above...

A simialr setup was used for this morning's Geelong to Southern Cross 6:56 service, but it was the N468 double-headed with another N-class behind it, still in the Blue&Red livery. I didn't catch which one, because I was still half asleep when I boarded. :p

I'd like to see a full yellow cab front, for vlinecars had some photos of the Tocumwal trip (in that particular thread) and against the background at Murchison East, it was the yellow cab that stood out, and not the grey cab.

However, did I rightly hear that there were glare issues with the yellow around the front windows? Can anyone confirm or deny this?

N468 & N453 (Can't remember if this is right) with N13 and BCZ hauled this. I saw it at Werribee, I think it just keeps following me at the moment...

Yesterday went hunting out N468 on the Grain Loop tests. Caught it just after 1230 waiting to start testing. Unfortunately, the camera batteries decided to die just as I was taking a photo, which left me with this very ordinary photo on the phone:

It was back on shed when I passed by 1630.

It would have been good if they put the 'City of...' plates inside the grey strip making it easier to read.

I know. You've thought that would've been common sense wouldn't you? But they decided to position it in a dumb spot.

Nothing about the livery seems to be a result of common sense apart from the high visibility aspect Wink
