i have lived in Grenfell all my life unfortuantly im to young to have seen trains come into Grenfell i was wondering if anyone Knew how much money it would cost to get the line open again and if it would be possible to open it the line. the end of the line is Grenfell and the turntable and crane are still in grenfell but at a different premisese than the line the line isn't suitable for daily trains or freight trains but if the line was restored LVR might be abble to run railmotors out here or even steam but only for torism reasons would a train come out here.
it would be great to see trains on the line agian.

ARTC have banned passenger services on the line From Koorawatha to Greenthorpe. So that kills any idea of tourist trains.

The line from Greenthorpe to Grenfell is to far gone to restore without a complete rebuild. In some places the line is like spagetti laying in the paddocks and the bridges are stuffed.

The turntable and crane where at one time located at a Cowra Museum and were used on a private railway, then sold back to the Grenfell Council.

I've often toyed with the idea of someone forming a short tourist tramway service over the Grenfell side of the line. Would at least make a neat project for the Men's shed there.
