I'm just interested to know when Junee/Coota last advertised for trainee drivers?
cheers |
Towards the end of 2003. |
Thanks for your reply Dave. I thought it had been a while, certainly hope its not going to take another 5 years before they make the same offers again. Wouldn't mind being based out at that part of the world.

It's certainly a fairly good area to work in. We work a variety of trains, mainly grain, but also the ore from Goonumbla, fuel to Bomen, occasionally the containers out of Griffith (when required). There is also cement to Somerton in Melbourne when it runs.
We also run over a variety of country from the NSW Southern Highlands, the flat country west and north of Coota and into Melbourne.

Damn I just came across this
To late
My dad wants me to go for a mining job, I can't see my self as a miner, a career with rail is what I am interested in.
Hope something else comes up soon for trainee drivers.

Have received a letter from PN Cootamundra/Junee regarding this positions, stating that they will not be requiring trainees this round. There have been couple of reasons given, that are well known.
I'd like to thank them for their courtesy for letting us know, rather than leave us hanging indefinitely.
Regards,
Samuel Wittwer
