The ticket offices are in their final position.
The ticket barriers are now working.
The bus interchange is operational, though the signage and kiosks are not complete.
The rails are not quite all installed.
Many/most of the final signals are in place but covered, except signals on signal bridges.

What are those kiosks for anyway, in the bus interchange?

The local rag said recently that the old signal box from the original station is to be installed in the middle of the bus interchange. Not sure when.

There is a signal box very much like the one at Chatswood on Platform 2-3 at Gordon, so why a second one at Chatswood is needed is not clear. There is also a disused and ugly shoebox signalbox/lever_frame at Lindfield.

The overhead wiring through the future platforms 1/2 looks pretty complete.
One or two pieces of rail have yet to be welded into place.

I would assume, not in working condition more as a museum piece.

Work has been going on at the Albert Street underpass to deepen it for greater headroom and widen it from 2 lanes to four lanes. This bridge has been subject to "TruckStuck" in the past when over tall trucks have tried to go under, knocking the bridge out of kilter and delaying trains.
Elsewhere it is hard to see what else needs to be done to complete things.

Not as yet, probably late November before that becomes operational.

We gain control of the North Shore first weekend in November so I'm assuming then.

Wouldn't it be after the Second lot of commissioning for the ECL (22 Nov)?

It could be they'll stick to the current arrangements of going over 4 sets of points at Chatswood for the extra two weeks. But they may also take the opportunity to book out the centre tracks using only platforms 1 and 4 so they can better work on the tunnel portal. I guess we'll all find out in November.
All of Epping Junction was commissioned the other weekend however the points were booked out to prevent access into the tunnel before the rest of its ready, so I'm assuming they'll be doing the same with Chatswood.
