It was just painted all over blue, about the same shad as the CQRX and later CQMY wagons. There is no CFCLA markings other than the code staring with C

Interesting to note that it has a rated capacity of 92tonnes, giving it a gross tonnage of 120.30t if fully loaded.
Also attached to the same train were 4 CQQY, and a fresh painted QQJY
Red CQQY - http://www.wallip.fotopic.net/p53150959.html
Blue CQQY - http://www.wallip.fotopic.net/p53150958.html
Grey QQJY - http://www.wallip.fotopic.net/p53150952.html
I would appreciate if anyone had the previous numbers for the CQQY's, and COOY.
Cheers
EDIT - Also noted today at Gemco in Forrestfield, ex Silverton Wagons 6 x SQCY, and 1 x SQBY |
Hi Wallip,
The red and blue CFCLA CQQY our ex AOOX as well, similar to GWA’s AQPY flats. |
English translation, please

Hi Wallip,
The red and blue CFCLA CQQY our ex AOOX as well, similar to GWA’s AQPY flats. |
English translation, please |
For those of us who speak English, these postings are discussing vehicles converted from the old CR GOX wagons, later AOOX under AN.
The COOY is an CFCLA owned AOOX which has been fitted with bogies ex the USA rated for 100 short ton capacity (per wagon) and is described as a high speed open wagon (I guess it has constant contact side bearers).
I thought the red (Patricks traffic) and blue (CFCLA corporate) wagons were CQOY, not CQQY but I'll accept correction on that. These are flat cars fitted to take 3 TEU container traffic, but converted from AOOX wagons. They are thus heavy and have a high deck.
The G&W equivalent are class AQPY which are painted yellow and are largely confined to Darwin traffic because their high decks limit their usefulness east of Adelaide.
One AQPY was sold to BHP Billiton and was seen at the locomotive servicing facility at Nelson point in July, still displaying the full G&W code and number in addition to the four digit BHPB number.
I assume that the QQJY are wagons of this type (75' container wagons converted from AOOX opens) now owned by Interail for their interstate container services.
COOY and CQOY wagons have been renumbered by CFCLA but AQPY wagons retain their original numbers. I expect the QQJY wagons would retain their original numbers too. I don't know the renumbering sequence of the CFCLA wagons but I think they were all converted by Bluebird at Islington.

Thanks for that M636C.
If you go to Wallip’s gallery, there contains photos of red and blue COOY that are owned by CFCLA that he was reffering to. They were previously ex Australian National AOOX that have been cut done on the sides and ends that are similar GWA’s AQPY that have seen and see service on AD1/DA2, construction of the Darwin line, Mindarie sand train occasionally, AS3/SA4 (when it was running), ARTC trains and anywhere else they can be used.
To add to that a few AQPY's retain the original ASR orange livery with Australian Northern Railroad "ANR" logos while others have been painted yellow but the deck is still orange with the undeframe being still I believe AN green.
But hey some people are just ignorant

My previous post was made from a computer where I can't view photos.
I realise now that the QQJYs are actually ex CR RMX wagons, 63 feet container wagons, and not related to the converted AOOX wagons.
In fact, I also realise that I have photos taken on 27 September of two QQJY renumbered by United at Goulburn, 2068 and 4273. I think there were five in all, none repainted at all apart from the renumbering. These two were of the two frame designs, 2068 (with oval frame holes) in the CR series and 4273 in the Intersystem Leasing Pool series.

Seen today on PN's 6PM5 PQYY5101S
As this group was mentioned at some stage as being part of the Starter Kit, Im just wondering who the current owner is, and who introduced them initially for them to be coded P.
Also just of interest, the PM5 services have been quite interesting of late wagon wise, where along with the PQYY wagon, I have also noted yellow VQCY & VQTY wagons, as well as CFCLA's new CQWY 2-pack well wagons.

PQYY 5101 and 5102 were built as AN AQYY 7001 and 7002 and were green lettered for "Boxcar" (although plain green when 7001 was new).
I think they were recoded and renumbered at the same time in the early 1990s.
Other wagons of this type are RQYY 7004 which was built new as the first NR wagon, and RQYY 7083 which arrived in green lettered for "Boxcar" and lettered with the "R" prefix. 7083 might have been intended to be 7003 originally.
The later two are structurally different to the first two.

Cheers for that. Still wondering who the owner is.
I wonder if the number mix up with RQYY7083 has anything to do with the fact the first RQQY 5-pack flact deck is numbered 7003, when the rest are 7067-7083.
