Great to see 3016 running last night!
was a reall treat to see steam at night, particularly speeding thro Fyshwick!

A bit disapointing there wasn't a few more on board.

Are there any plans to run this again? Maybe a saturday night would be best?

Hello Sambo,

Glad you enjoyed the spectacle! Everyone on the train certainly seemed to.
This was a one off run to demonstrate the effectiveness of 3016s Master Mechanics Front End to the ACT\NSW fire authorities.
We may look at doing one in the future, depending on a couple of things.
Friday night was choosen due to the traffic patterns on the branch - We only had to arrange ourselves so we were back at QBN by 9:50 (The time when the Xploder is at Bungendore, ready to take the staff).
Sat nights we have to wait for SP36 and 2194, meaning tabled arrival at Bungendore is not until around 8-8:30.

Anyway, some piccies:

Cheers
Andrew D
