I saw that one as well. It went to the yards, then 460 cut off and went forward, the other's stayed coupled together.

A couple from the weekend: G514, C501 and GM36 crossing NR8, 112 and DL47 at Wingeel, then RL301 and C503 at Inverleigh on a Ballast train heading towards Wingeel on Saturday.

What were the 'AK cars' going????? Do you mean where were they going? or what were they doing?

On Sunday they were going to Inverleigh where they were stabled for the night in front of RL301-C503 on the aforementioned ballast train. See the AK cars thread.

RG7 has spent the past week stabled in the cripple road at the Melbourne end of Wallan loop, looks to be undergoing maintenance of some description.

9558 up Long Island goods with XR-BL got put away at Caulfield for over two hours this afternoon, presumably due to lack of available pathing account Caulfield Cup extras.

Some interesting bits and bobs out on the Western SG on Thursday:

NR59, GL105 and GL108 westbound departing Inverleigh:

XR559 and XR555 with a rake of NSW standard gauge NGPF/NGKF grain hoppers head for Geelong at Inverleigh:

And the hoppers stabled at North Shore today. I think this might the first SG train into the new SG yard here. It still seems odd to see FreightCorp logos down here!

Passed through Parkdale at 16:59 with XR551-BL29. Nice to see the XR leading, just missed getting a shot of it. Not sure if that is the normal Saturday path.

T378 has joined the train in the past 24 hours. It's attatched to the down end of the train which is still stabled in North Geelong Yard. Any idea where it's working next?

I recall reading elsewhere, it was going to be discharging between Geelong and Colac after 2300 until 0400 or so. The ballast pile at North Geelong seems to be dropping, and there is a front end loader there now.
