Who built the NSW 82 class frames or where were the frames built?

My memory says somewhere in the Darling Downs QLD?

I know the actual loco was built at Braemar near Mittagong NSW but I understand the frames or parts there of, were built in QLD and transported to Braemar.

Thanks
Peter C

Might you be thinking of Bradken? That's between Ipswich and Rosewood, not quite the Darling Downs, but on the way...!

The 82 class frames were indeed built at Karrabin (just west of Ipswich), but wasn't the company known as ANI Ruwolt back then? I'm not sure.

Entirely likely... I've only been living in the area for a year or two!

Thanks folks for your help!

I knew about Bradken at Karrabin near Ipswich and in fact drove past there last Sunday but previously was led to believe the 82 class frames were built at a location west of Toowoomba. Now my confusion has been cleared!
