What's wrong with the yard in particular? To do with running around locomotives?

- Somebody in the WWW

I believe that is correct, it has something to do with the run arounds of the locomotive. Though don't quote me on it as I could be wrong.

I assume that Sprinters are still operating the 1745 down and 0727 up trips at the moment?

- Somebody in the WWW

No. Road coaches are being used to replace the 0725 and 1745 services.

Just heard over the scanner that a down Geelong pass (2105 ex SCS?) is currently disabled at Werribee Station, believed to be a two car VL.

Centrol have informed the following pass ( 2205 ex SCS) that they are to attach and push the defective set through to Geelong.

Anybody have further details?

N474 and VLH32 are still in Kyneton yard from last Friday. They were expected to form 8016 (0725 up Kyneton) on Monday, but the union have refused that the drivers use it, as the yard is not up to standards. It is hope hat it would be moved by tomorrow morning, but nobody is quote sure yet.

- vlocity160

Why don't V/line just use push-pull P's then and use the N class on a different peak hour service, or wouldn't the train fit in that tiny yard.

The N could run the 1717 Sunbury H set service.

Why would you have an N class on a 6 carriage H set train and a push and pull P's on a 5 car H set train? That doesn't make sense.

If they have a P at each end they dont have to perform run arounds.

The issue at Kyneton relates to the lack of lighting in the area, not so much the yard track. So your idea of using P's really doesn't affect the situation.

Also keep in mind the P's can only do 100km/h which makes pathing very difficult.

1745 down Kyneton / 0725 up Kyneton should be resuming regular service tonight.

Spotted tonight's 18:25 down Bairnsdale service running 109 mins late, arriving into Richmond platform 4 at 20:14. Service was hauled by N456. I assume the lateness was due to N-class loco shortages?

V/Line couldnt run this train this year due to Victoria being out of action. V/Line hand balled the train over to Steamrail due to SRV having Moorabool which could be used instead of Victoria.

Consist yesterday was N460 - Moorabool - 8AS - 9BRS - PCP292 as previously stated.

The 1817 down Swan Hill pass was 45minutes late ex Southern Cross Station, so it could have possibly been the train you saw.
