Although this isn't about a train sighting it is about Bendigo and the railways, it appears that SSR are moving a load of there stock from the workshops in the Bendigo yard and are moving them out to the old railway workshops in North Bendigo.

Took a drive out to Nth Bendigo today to take a look at the progress on the workshops. There is no rail access yet (A lot of large weed/trees at the access gate) but it appears a few things have been trucked in by road.

Also in Bendigo yard tonight is EM100.

Is the Bendigo North Workshops going to be reopened for rail use ?

Rail access was never lost ?

Austraila needs to stop stuffing around with different rail gauges and all go Stephenson Standard 4'8.5"(1435mm)

Rail access is still there but as I mentioned, it is currently overgrown with small trees and large weeds that will have to be removed before anything can be railed in. Also at least one or two of the main points are missing the "frogs" which could make access a bit tricky.

Yeah i couldn't see BL32 anywhere today.

During 0000-0100 the ballast train was seen heading towards Bendigo near the Bendigo show grounds and during 0030-0120 it was showing green over yellow from Bendigo and green over yellow towards Bendigo.

Not sure what was going on with that.

Most likely picking up S311 and Y145 for a ride. Should be an awesome ballast to chase now!!!
