Does anybody know the current amount of NG and SG track that ARG operate over, and or the breakdown of servicable NG and SG track in WA under westnets control?

According to the WestNetRail website;

3371 km Narrow Gauge
1196 km Standard Gauge
163 km Dual Gauge

Of the lines included in this, the only closed lines are Picton to Lyall ( 149km) and Boyanup to RGC ( 21 km ) .

For the butt wipes, this information is on the WestNetRail public web page and therefor IS NOT COMMERCIALLY SENSITIVE INFORMATION Twisted Evil

And to answer the other part of your question, ARG currently operate over,

Approximately

2076km Standard Gauge
163 km Dual Gauge
4571 km Narrow Gauge

Interesting stuff. Dual gauge came out on both sides as being 163k's. But big difference on SG & NG. Which is correct. Westnet or ARG. Does ARG include some out of state lines.

Pretty simple. WestNet own ( as a general rule ) the main lines, loops and some yard track ( Long arrivals Forrestfield for example ) where as ARG run on WestNet track plus their own track plus private track.

For example, the line from Alumina Junction to Calcine is owned by Alcoa. ARG run on it, WestNet control it but do not own it.

Other examples would be the track at Inner Harbour Bunbury and track at Hamilton ( Worsely Refinery ).

Dual gauge runs from the west end of Avon Yard to Kwinana CBH, with the line from Midland to East Perth also dual gauge.

Its actually because ARG operate on ARTC track to Cook and NG track in Qld as well as Westnet.

Please correct me if im wrong on this fact about double dual guage track

Double Track with Dual Guage Starts From Cockburn Junction and stops at Kewdale due to line/s entering long arrivals, then the Double Dual Guage starts again from the Midland end of long arrivals to Avon Yard. Is this correct

Double track stops half way through Forrestfield and starts again at Forrestfield South
