Thanks, KEG.

Let's try,  "Ease of addition."

First thing that popped into my head was Addington?

Not Addington.

Having thought about it overnight, I think my clue is too vague, and I don't want the quiz to bog down.

I'll re-submit it as, " Easy-fit Accessory."

Still quite cryptic IMHO (But that's good-gives the brain a bit of a workout while staring at a computer all day !) "Accessory" could be an item of clothing or something added to a car,
I'll go with the clothing and suggest Cardigan

Bolt-on ?

Alamein Line took the right option and went with the automotive idea.

Bolton is correct.

Alamein Line now settles comfortably into the driving seat.

"Valvegear"

Thanks , Valvegear

However , as Alamein Line does not drive , it is doubtful he would be comfortable in an automotive driving seat   Shocked

I have an idea that Fritz is what South Aussies call DEVON?
  Alamein_Line Chief Commissioner

It is indeed !

Sometimes also known as Fritz sausage , so Sangar was appropriate

On to the next question, this is not an anagram, it's a cryptic clue.

Looks like this one has stalled a bit so a hint to get things going.
Hint: This footballer has not played recently, but is remembered for a particular achievement.

I suspect it's Buckley.
  NIGELINOZ Assistant Commissioner

Location: Tallangatta,Vic,
No not Buckley, remember not a recent player.
General Hint: I was 934 feet above sea level,141¼ miles from Melbourne and the strange thing was that the railway station was built prior to there being a large enough town to support it.
The players name is only part of the answer but the answer is only one word.

The problem with giving height and/or distance: it ceases to be cryptic.

I know nothing about football, but two players who were famous for sinking it through the 'hi diddle diddle' were:
Bulldog player 'Great Western'
and St Kilda full-forward 'Saint James'

I could get to work with curves & grades, but is there any point?

Icould give endless cryptic clues Roderick and have the quiz bogged down for days as has happened on the suburban cryptic quiz a few times recently.
I'm only trying to make it fair enough so that those who may have an idea of the answer but not positive submit a guess instead of leaving it.

I'll start a curves & grades hunt.
Nobody beat me to 'Swan Hill'.

I lost track of club names when Collingwood was sold to President Marcos, and was retitled 'Manila Folders'.
