Laburnum: Demolish it and make better track to Box Hill (get rid of the 60km/h curves and 30km/h down limit over the level crossing)
they need to fix that station.i cant count how many times the train has gone way over the plt. its really bad for old people

Melbourne Trains and Trams will be moving to a new home in SWEDEN as of the 15th of August 2008. It's only for 8 months though!
Updates coming by the 7th of August with new pics from around Melbourne.

Heatherdale: Utter crap. Put the mountain back together and build a tunnel, and put shops over it

this is a good station to take pics from for trains going on a up service.
Quote:

Hawthorn: Nice station, pity it's left unmanned (locked waiting areas)

this station should be better looked after as it is one of my faves.i love getting on the train there.its like stepping back in time.

Armadale station i think is the best station along that stretch of track inbetween South Yarra and Caufield.

Flinders Street the most dangerous!
Its like the most staffed station on the network!

umm i dont know about that,u only find staff at the gates. there is about 5 all together. there is more at the city loop stations

Besides the barriers there are staff monitoring the platforms, who also makes the PA announcement telling the passengers to stand clear or 'the train has been cancelled due to a driver shortage'

And there are drivers on the platform or the concourse

imagine Dandy station without all the dropkicks that hang around there and you would have yourself the best station in Melbourne in terms of modern architecture and one thats aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

also closer to home I like the monkey man mural near Hallam station, those that live out in whoop whoop will know what I'm on about

I'm not familiar with the one you have just mentioned Riccardo, but another awesome one that got scrubbed off was the Spiderman mural near Murrumbeena station. some idiot painted over it and then another loser put up a large pathetic tag

Yeah, Heatherdale isn't too bad for that perspective, but it really isn't appealing to the eye (and the section of track between RWD-MCH needs rebuilding).

I'd just like to add Boronia Station to my list. Yes it has a rep for it's mix of interesting people but the station itself is good, esp looking at the up services coming through the tunnel, better than it use to be!

Now approaching Caulfield Station, passengers for the Rowville, Pakenham and Cranbourne lines, please change trains at Caulfield

The next station is Burnley, change here for services to Knox City

Chatham: Not used enough and too close to neighbouring stops

it's used alright,a lot in peak when trains stop there Wink i'm one of it's users and seeming some of the island platforms behind my house it is not to close to the others Razz .
Quote:

Box Hill: Take it back before the 1980's, and remove the asian gangs
Mont Albert: The 109 tram stops look a lot better than the train stop
Surrey Hills: Nice station, smelly ramp area though

yes i agree with all of that.they should train a team of feral/gang hunters for use at train stations Smile .i like Brighton beach although i've never been on the sandie line past south Yarra.

Batchelor is a disgrace, stick a freeway on his head!

The only two stations on the Sandringham line I have been to are Prahran and Windsor, and I quite like both of them, especially Windsor, it has a very gritty, "urban-gothic" (the only words I could think of to summarise how I feel about it...don't shoot me!) feel to it.

I must take the trip down on the Sandringham line one day soon. Haven't been down all the way to sandy.
The last time I used it was from Gardenvale station to the city, about three years ago.
