Hi all,
We'll try an MSTS "where is it" and see how we go. Here are the rules:
1. The route must be one of the following Australian routes and must not be altered in any way:
* Footscray - Ballarat v1 by Russell Beer (steam4me)
* Coals to Newcastle v3 by Peter Newell (steam4me)
* Blue Mountains Line v3.1 by Mike Simpson (steam4me)
* Coal Road v2 by Gavin Mclaughlan (train-sim.com)
* Mornington Railway v2 by Craig Walton (steam4me)
* Illawarra stage 1 by Paul Woozley (train-sim.com)
* Sydwest stage 1 by Ben Johnson (train-sim.com)
2. The rolling stock used must be Australian and must be publicly available at the following sites:
* http://www.railpage.org.au/steam4me/trainsim/
* http://www.railpage.org.au/vr/msts/
* http://www.train-sim.com/
3. The image must not be edited other than re-sizing and cropping.
4. The person who answers correctly gets to post the next image.
post away...

Well, I knew this had to happen sooner or later. I have plenty of pics but I'm somewhat disadvantaged in that I'm not entirely sure exactly where they were all taken.
Anyway, this one I know the location of (I think).
Question is - do you?
I only noticed the Where is it poll after posting the pic. I hadn't been in the MSTS forum the last few days.

That's because it is indeed Ballan (I checked the track diagram to be sure). Heading east.

I'd say that spark is on the Footscray -> Ballarat Route via that line that extends past the station after Sunshine (I think Broadmeadows is the next one after the station after Sunshine?).

It looks like to me that it was taken as the train approaches the up platform at St Albans, which means it is the up Watergardens service.
