Bombardier Transportation demonstrates its commitment to the state of Qatar

As a platinum sponsor of the GCC Transport and Railways Conference, the company will be at the core of industry discussions, addressing topics including rail operations and innovations. In parallel, Bombardier is showcasing its most recent innovations in the field of urban mobility - the Bombardier PrimoveCity e-mobility solution, the new generation Bombardier INNOVIA automated transit systems, the Bombardier MOVIA M metro and the Bombardier FLEXITY 2 tram - at theTrans4 Expo 2011.

The company is participating in both the GCC Transport and Railways Conference and the Trans4 Expo 2011, taking place in Doha, October 17-19, 2011.
Serge Van Themsche, Vice President Europe, Middle East, Africa and Brazil, Systems, Bombardier Transportation, is a speaker at the conference. He will talk about smart transit systems and e-mobility technologies, highlighting solutions for the GCC's railway aspirations.

In line with its commitment to the Gulf region, Bombardier Transportation has established a local presence, with a wholly-owned subsidiary in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and resources in the United Arab Emirates. Bombardier was awarded the contract to supply, install, operate and maintain an INNOVIA Monorail 300 system for the prestigious King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, as well the recent contract with Saudi Binladin Group to design, build, operate and maintain an INNOVIA APM 300 automated people mover system for the King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) Development Project in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
